An Energy Performance Certificate rates a property's energy efficiency from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient), and includes recommendations for improvement.

In England and Wales, an EPC is generally needed when a property is built, sold or rented, with some exemptions. Sellers and landlords should arrange it before marketing. See GOV.UK guidance for your circumstances.
An EPC is valid for 10 years, unless a newer certificate is produced for the same property. The latest certificate takes precedence. Read the official guidance.
